With Nova K9 Academy's Train While You're Away program, your dog receives personalized training while remaining comfortable in their own home. Rather than sending your dog to a facility, I stay in your home and work with your dog in the environment where they live, learn, and practice every day.
This program combines the convenience of pet sitting with the benefits of structured training, allowing your dog to make meaningful progress while you're away.
Whether your goal is better leash manners, improved obedience, increased confidence, or a stronger foundation around distractions, your dog will receive daily training tailored to their individual needs.
Unlike traditional board-and-train programs, your dog stays in a familiar environment, reducing stress and allowing training to be applied directly to real-life situations they encounter every day.
After your return, discounted follow-up sessions are available to help maintain progress and ensure you feel confident continuing the training at home.

With years of hands-on experience working with dogs through training and veterinary medicine, I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your pets. I started Nova K9 Academy with one goal in mind: to provide compassionate, dependable care that gives pet owners complete peace of mind. Whether I'm training your dog or caring for them while you're away, I treat every pet like they're my own.

I've worked at a veterinary clinic for upwards of 5 years, and have had the privilege of meeting so many furry friends! Working at a clinic has equipped me with skills to take care of animals from every walk of life. Whether you have cats, dogs, small critters, or reptiles, or pets needing extra medical attention (diabetic, disabled, elderly, and more), I can help.

I have always enjoyed being around animals and have 3 years of veterinary experience. I am multilingual (English, intermediate Spanish, and ASL) and am comfortable with all types of pets, regardless of their unique needs!
